  • Can you visit the site?

    Yes I can visit your site, carry out an assessment and discuss the options with you.

  • Can an existing field be improved?

    Yes, although it depends on soil fertility. In most cases, I can assess suitability with a few photos, identifying whether nutrient levels are too high for successful meadow establishment.

  • How long does it take to establish a wildflower meadow?

    It depends on the soil. Lower fertility soil is ideal and usually means slower growth—but better long-term results. To provide interest from the start, I often include cornfield annuals for colour in the first year, with perennial wildflowers becoming established in the second year and subsequent years.

  • How long does a meadow last once it is established?

    With the right maintenance—such as seasonal mowing, grazing, or harrowing—a meadow can thrive for decades. Without this, flower diversity typically declines after 4–5 years.
