I begin with a personal consultation, either on-site or over the phone, to learn about your project and to fully understand what you would like to achieve.

02 Design Fee Proposal

A comprehensive proposal is provided, outlining the key elements of your project and the associated cost for the design and planning process.

03 Concept Plans

I write a design brief and produce initial concept plans, exploring options based on the project size and existing constraints.

04 Master & Planting Plans

The agreed concept is then refined into a detailed Master Plan, accompanied by a comprehensive & illustrated Planting Plan.

  • Do you carry out the installation?

    Yes, we believe that we are the best suited to carry out the installation because we fully understand the aims and the objectives of the scheme and have built a relationship with the client during the design process.

  • Will the garden require a lot of maintenance?

    No, many years of experience as a professional gardener ensure that my designs deliver on aesthetics without requiring a massive team of gardeners.

  • Can you advise on the maintenance?

    Yes, informally I am always happy to give advice and we can also supply full maintenance schedules to ensure everything is maintained in accordance with the long term vision of the design. I often work directly with estate gardeners to ensure the garden matures in line with the original vision.

  • Can you help with older properties?

    Yes, I personally have a lot of experience working in traditional older properties, including 17th century walled gardens and cottages.

  • How long will the garden take to establish and develop?

    I aim for the planting to have established and developed after 1 or 2 years. This can sometimes be reduced by using larger specimen plants, but this is more expensive and larger plants are more prone to failing as they take longer to establish.
