The brief

A thoughtful garden renovation for a Victorian end-of-terrace home.

The house underwent a major refurbishment and the clients sought a garden that matched the upgraded home’s quality. Despite its unusual shape, thoughtful planting and strategic placement of outbuildings transformed the space into a harmonious and inviting outdoor retreat.

  • Improved site layout and placement of buildings
  • Extensive low maintenance planting
  • New new driveway approach
  • Small orchard

The result

Classic landscape integrated with sustainable maintenance across multiple areas.

A cohesive outdoor space featuring attractive brick-paved paths that enhance movement throughout the site, blending traditional style with low-maintenance planting. A spacious terrace provides the perfect vantage point to enjoy the sweeping views of the borrowed landscape.

  • Planting areas in places that were previously concrete
  • Sub-division of the garden creating the feeling of a much larger space
  • Traditional aesthetic but low maintenance

Praise

Exciting and innovative

As soon as we met Luke, we knew we wanted to work with him. On the first visit he came up with some exciting and innovative ideas about the redesign of our garden. These ideas were translated into detailed plans including soft and hard landscaping and planting. Luke took on board all of our thoughts about what we wanted from our new garden but added so much in his creativity about the design and the planting. He and his team were always professional, communicative, attentive to our thoughts and a delight to work with. The results are absolutely fantastic. We are so pleased with found him and cannot recommend him enough!
